Biography
Rragini was born to a Punjabi family in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh. Although her roots lie in Rewari, Haryana, she has lived in various parts of India. Her father is a Gallantry award winner who has served the Indian Army for 25 years and her mother was a teacher and a child psychologist. Coming from the army background, she has moved around a lot which adds on to her ability to adapt with any culture, thus making her the person she is today. Due to her family’s transferrable background, she has attended over twelve different schools before graduating from Delhi Public School, Bangalore and went on to do her Bachelor’s in Journalism and Mass Communication from Annamalai University. Her career began with modelling in 2008 and she made her entry into the film industry a year later and established a place in people’s heart.

Work
With almost 30 films in her kitty, she has come a long way since she began. Rragini debuted with Veera Madakari in 2009 which became a major commercial success of the year. She gained popularity with successful Kannada films such as Kempegowda, Shiva, Bangari and Ragini IPS, thus establishing herself as one of the leading actresses of Kannada film industry. Rragini has also acted in films of other south Indian languages such as Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam movies. As a model, Rragini has worked for famous designers such as Rohit Bal, Tarun Tahiliani, Manish Malhotra, Ritu Kumar and Sabyasachi Mukherjee. She was introduced to modelling by Prasad Bidapa in 2008 and she went on to become the runner up of the 2008 Femina Miss India South. Known for her discipline and professionalism, she has maintained a good rapport with her colleagues due to her sound work ethics. A humanitarian by nature, she is also adaptable, hardworking and committed to her craft.
